Ok... I've got an itch that I want to scratch, and that scratch will require some extra funds. I'm hoping it doesn't come down to this, but I'm pondering selling my Cherokee. Here's the skinny...
'87 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, originally silver, repainted black by yours truly
4.0L with 5 speed tranny
Front axle: Jeep wagoneer Dana 44, 6 lug, Yukon 5.13 gears, Detroit locker, warn premium lockouts, stock shafts w/Spicer u-joints (caps tack welded), Rubicon Express brackets
Rear axle: Jeep wagoneer Dana44, 6 lug, Yukon 5.13 gears, Yukon spool, 1.5" wheel spacers on each side
Tires: 36x13.50 Bias Ply Interco Irok's, also includes one 36x12.50 TSL mounted up on a rim for a spare
Front suspension: Clayton hardarm longarms (updated style with johnny joints on upper links), Skyjacker 5.5" coils, RE Heavy Duty track bar and track bar bracket (welded to frame), Bilstein HD shocks with bar pin eliminators, Chevy 4x4 pickup extended brake lines
Rear suspension: Rubicon Express 4.5" Extreme Duty leafs, Rusty's 1" blocks/u-bolts, custom bumpstop plates, RE extended rear brake line
Other stuff: custom built steering box brace, C4x4 front winch bumper with custom stinger, Warn M8000 winch, new motor mounts, newer exhaust manifold (no cracks or leaks), A/C has been converted to onboard air with pressure switch and fitting, includes 50ft of air hose as well, has aftermarket H4 conversion headlights with Sylvania Silverstar bulbs... very bright.
All the interior is there, it's not in perfect shape, but for an '87 it's in good shape and everything works. It has some sweet map lights and has power windows. Burgundy color interior, the driver's seat has a rip in it, and the passenger seat is kinda funky. Has a JVC cd player and some alpine front speakers and pioneer rear speakers, and a Cobra CB.
The 4.0L is running strong, though it could use a rear main seal (I would be willing to do this job if it were a deal breaker for someone). I would say it also needs some exhaust work, right now it has a guttet cat with a muffler clamped on the end, nothing behind that (it fell off last time I went to Evans creek)
This is a trail rig, but it is definetly streetable (I drive it back and forth to Wenatchee a few times a week). It's not pretty, it's flat black with silver trail scars, and olive drab wheels. I also have a set of half-finished half doors I can throw in, as well as some other misc. spare parts and goodies.
I have a price in mind, but I'd like to see what you would realistically pay for this rig. Keep in mind that I have about 2 grand into the axles, and there is nothing outstandingly wrong with this rig... it runs and drives great, most everything works, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it all over the state (and I do). No lowballers and no smartasses, please.
Here's a couple pics (it has matching full doors on it now):
