Hey, I was just wondering why I have never seen anyone wheel
an FJ-45... Is it because of its wheelbase? I don't know anything
about 45's... It just occured to me to ask.
thnx

An FJ45 wagon or pickup? I have friends that wheel FJ45 pickups out there, including Gary "Mudrak" Kardum and Henry Brimmer. I also know of at least one guy that wheels an FJ45 wagon, "Big" Ed Maikish of New Jersey. My friend Josh Boltrek wheels his HJ47 troop carrier, and my dad wheeled the crap out of his 1969 FJ45 troopie as well.
At the last 'Cruise Moab there were two different Canadian FJ45 pickups, both of them sprung-over, one of them with a GM 6.5 TD swap.
For the most part, these trucks don't have the best configuration for hard-core wheeling, and they're pretty rare. Most people who wheel *and* own FJ45's also seem to own FJ40's!
Here's a shot of one of them! :)

Another angle of the same mishap. It happened on the Golden Steps on the Golden Spike Trail in Moab. Slightly wrong line, a little too much throttle, and a popped bead, could have happened to anyone.

This one at one time was very nice, but after a weekend of Little Sluice'n a couple summers ago Jeremy Faber turned this 45 long bed into a competition rock buggy. Recently he bought a Snipper and parked the 45.

That red 45 from Canada....I think his name is Derrick? Anyway,
We were on the Behind The Rocks trail in Moab & he was the only one to successfully crawl "Hummer Hill". It had to be the
wheelbase & the doubler he's runnin'. That ascent had to be
about a 60 degree slope  I couldn't crwal it & I'm 90:1
