Hey guys,

I'm headed to moab for some 50 riding and mountain biking next weekend and am thinking of taking my truck offroad. Now here's what I have:

1988 chevy S-10 long bed
2.8L V6
33" tires (with darn stiff springs in the front... this ain't a prerunner by any stretch of the imagination)
2wd (no locker)

yes, it's a P.O.S. but i was hoping to get some recommendations of trails to drive. Note that for steep downhills, my brakes suck. Also, if you know a site where i can educate myself on the trails that would be excellent. Thank you very much for your help guys!

here's a few pics of the truck:

Do people bike and drive on the same trails?

I'd like to get out to Moab and do the same sometime.

try this:

Moab's site (http://www.moab-utah.com/). There are others, if you just Google with the word 'Moab', there's loads. Remember that there are always sections of deep sand on the trail and a rear wheel drive pickup may get stuck, so be prepared. If you mountainbike and haven't been there before, you'll prolly want to do Slickrock (just get it over with), but Lion's back makes a great night ride, Porcupine rim is just about the most scenic/bang0for-the-buck ride I've been on with newbies. But bring food and lots of water; it can be long.

Good luck

I have only ridden part of a one trail shared with double tracks, so I'd say no to your shared trail question

I don't belive it's technically shared or not shared trail. I've been out before and done slick rock. But i was hoping to get some recommendations on a nicel2wd trail, nothing crazy you know? thanks again!
