the c-6 has quite larger yr span that what you listed, for sure 78-79, and i think they came on 390 and such prior to that, also you should mention that there are two different kinds of c-6 bellhousing small block, and big block housings like the 78-79 ones that were for the 351 and 400m motors. but good job on the info

Yes you are correct, just that the other sites I did this for don't mess with the older trucks too much. Once I get this squared away I'll backtrack farther. Also correct in the fact with the big/small block differences, but that is true for all the trannys. I will also work on the different patterns available, and what goes with what.

Thanks for helpin out.

You've got the wrong T-18 ratios listed. Ford uses the "wide ratio" tranny with the 6.32 first gear. You've listed the "close ratio" used by Jeep and International. I believe the other three gears are still the same. It also has 7-something reverse.

Also note, the ZF 5 speed was available in two torque ratings the earlier ones, S5-42 were rated at 420lb-ft, the later S5-47 were rated at 470lb-ft. I don't remeber the ratios right off hand, but I'll try to look them up if no one else posts them before me.

Don't forget about the RAT in the EB 1st 3.41, 2nd 1.86, and 3rd 1

and the RAN 1st 2.99, 2nd 1.75, and 3rd 1

also the reverse ratio is wrong on the NP435
The T-18 and 435 were both used from the 60's till into the 90's.

Thanks guys, I will make corrections ASAP.

What was the NP435 used in past 87? or even in 87?

3 bellhousings for C6 and older manuals: 289/302/351w(small blocks), 360/390/428(FE), and 429/460/400(big blocks). not all CIDs listed for each engine family of course...just common ones :flipoff2:

Updated some ratios, and added a fluid description. Any help on the older manual fluids? Still adding things so keep the info comin.
