I bought a set of d-44's for my samurai that need alittle attention, i would also like to go to rear disc while i am at it. My local parts store is not much help in finding parts for this. I need the inner front hub bearing and axle seal plus wheel bearings. Anybody here sell a rebuild kit or know of a source that i can get the correct parts the first time? I searched for rear disc and came up with this site.www.backcountrybinders.com. Does anyone have experience with this kit or can reccomend another kit?

the rear wheel bearings are Timken Set10. Don't use any other type that might be cross referenced to. These are a tapered bearing and that is what these axles require. You can call BCB and John should be able to help you with the bearings.
I can get Timken bearings at Autozone, Napa, and Carquest. You will need to search this and other sites for rear disk options

Thanks for the help. I had searched and found most of the info on the disc kits, i just wanted to see if there is anything else out there. I ordered the brake brackets from steeltech, with the rest of the parts from autozone. My biggest problem is parts for the frt diff. Autozone has the wheel bearings but i need the bearing inside the hub. This is the thin needle bearing that the outer axle shaft rotates in. I am sure it has a more specific name but i dont know what it is. Maybe someone could fill me in on this, thanks again.

IIRC the P# is SKG-1. It comes with the bearing and the rubber seals that are normally gone!!
A good counter monkey should have found it!!
