Chev 1 ton with CJ body

I have a 1976 CJ7 (trail bomb, almost stock). As I was thinking about upgrades and I noticed that everything that I wanted (350 v8, 1 ton axles, soa, srs, full width, hd everything) was already built.
Why not put a cj/yj/tj body on a shortened 1 ton chevy truck?
Any one done this?
