Well, I went wheeling yesterday in my 74 cj5 and on my way back home, I noticed that when I put my Dana 20 T-case in 4low, the low gearing would engage, but my TCase would not spin my front driveshaft. Checked my new warn hubs and they were functioning properly. I know it was working before I hit the trail, and i didnt hear any loud snapping or popping. Could it be my linkage is not fully engaging my tcase ??? or could it be somthing worse????

More than likely it's your linkage. Same thing happened to me, only I couldn't find 2-hi and I had a new "2 low" feature. Do a search on this and you'll find out that when you linkage gets worn you can slip into "2 low". Disassemble your linkage and throw in some washers to tighten it up a little, or twin stick it if you want.

Before asking a question like this use the search function and try different key words like "dana 20 2 low" or just "dana 20" Read through all of the posts and 99.9% of the time your question will be answered without having to start a new thread on the same topic.

yeah do some research and normally you will find what you want. but to fix your problem you should probably just get a toyota. they work better off road

Jeepsta, you need to pull your thumb out of your butt and think before you make such a remark! You goon.

Yes, it's not fully engaging. These T-cases can wear a little to the point where you can put them in 2-lo, as fubar said... its likely that you're shifting into low, but just not far enough to engage the front drive. Try jamming it down a little more, and if that doesn't work, shim it with a few washers (again, as fubar stated).

and to jeepsta: lick chimp nut.

My Dana 20 had the same problem and it took me a while to figure out that I had to pull it all the way back to get it to go into 4L. It didn't bother me after that because I then had 2H, 4H, 2L and 4L. Pretty good for a Dana 20. Later on I fixed the linkage bushings that were very loose and now I don't have 2L any more.
