Yesterday, my IR D/A sander disappointed me. The knurled regulator knob broke, being plastic-it cracked at the groove for one of the rubber o-rings, and thus made me curse IR for not making it out of aluminum, nylon, or a denser plastic. :mad3:
IR will send me parts as it's under warranty, but I'm going to see if a friend of mine will machine a replacement knob out of SS.
Anyone else had this happen? Any creative fixes?
