I need some help getting some front shocks. My numbers are:

compressed 12.5"
extended 26.5"
ride height 18.5"

I can go a bit less on the extended, because the coils are unseated about 2.5", but I'd really like to keep the compression where it is. I was planning on running some Rancho 9000's mostly to help with the road ride. I drive to the trails and these curvy Tennessee and North Carolina roads kill me with no sway bars. But I can't find a Rancho part number that gives me even close to these numbers. I'm running BPE's, so I've got the standard eye mounts top and bottom. I've looked through here http://www.gorancho.com/products/ap...tshock_spec.pdf to no avail. Do I need to go to Bilstein to get this kind of travel with a fairly stiff valving?

Pro comps come close to those numbers, but I don't know if they will give you the ride you are looking for.

What is the applictiation? The only info you give is that you are looking for a shock with 14 in of travel, that is only 12 in long when compressed, and that you are running BPE's.

Because of the BPE's I will assume that you have a Jeep TJ-XJ-ZJ with 6-8” of lift and long arms of some sort, stop me if I am wrong. If this is what you are trying to put shocks on you can ditch the lower BPE's and make a custom lower mount and run Rancho RS99010 shocks (16in comp 26in ext 9.8in travel).

This is what I have on my ZJ --- 8” spring, extended poly bump, 1 ½” steel bump welded to axle, RS9010, upper mount adapter, and custom lower shock mount.
