Yes and no.
When we broke out jeep output shaft on the 300 in the crawler, he had to measure the tailshaft housing to determine which shaft we needed, short or long. It seems jeep used a shorter shaft on it's early 300 cases, I think 81 or 82, but don't quote me on it. Then jeep switched to a longer output shaft. We I got the replacement shaft from AA, it said Jeep Short and Scout II shaft. So, yes, if you find the short jeep 300 shaft it would match the short 300 Scout II shaft, however as I understand it, the longs are way more common. At least from the AA stuff this is what I understand. I would post pictures and number and crap, but all that info and the shaft/houseing is on it's way to Colorado with the case that came out of the crawler.
Thanks for the info .
There is one on ebay I was going to bid on , just to have a spare .
Guess I will hold off .
If anyone has a Scout II Dana 300 rear output shaft they want to sell let me know .

Casey, I might have one.
Let me dig around in the garage tonight. If I've got one, it's yours.
How was the run? I wound up giving my radiator to the dude who bought my parts rig, so that he could get back to Denver. Loonnnng story. I was pretty bummed to miss another run.
