Somehow I've recently gone headlong into P38 mod mode. Comments/observations?

can I get a copy of the drawing for that battery tray? I was just thinking about building one....

the EAS is simple to wire up a box with 4 pushbuttons and 2 toggles to take the ECU out of the picture completely, and still controll it from inside.

I got everything I needed for about $10 at radio shack, even got a little "project box" that wedges between the drivers seat and center console, out of sight but in easy reach.

pull the cover off of the connector (under the drivers seat) and the pin numbers are easy to read if you're not old. pin 1 is +12v, everything is grounded elsewhere so you just need pin 1 to the other pins to run the valves and compressor.

1 SPST toggle to pin 8 to run the compressor
1 SPDT center off toggle to pin 26 for up, pin 28 for down
4 momentary pushbuttons to
pin 10 left front
pin 11 left rear
pin 27 right front
pin 28 right rear

the pressure switch is backwards, closed at 140psi, opens at 130 psi, so it can't be used to directly controll the compressor, but it's input is on pin 13. I think a reverse acting relay from pin 13 to pin 8 would do it but I havn't gotten that far.

It works great, even self levels, with the comp and inlet/outlet off, hold all 4 pushbuttons for a couple seconds (on a flat, level spot) and the pressures will equalize throught the bags so you're mostly level. I don't recommend this while driving....

DXF's load fine.

Please explaing in simple terms the meanings of
SPST
and
SPDT
I assume one is normally closed and one is normally opened?

single pole, single throw -one switch in the housing, one function (on/off)-comp runs/doesn't run

single pole double throw - one switch.., two functions (on/off/on)-one way opens the inlet solenoid, the other the exhaust so you lable one side "UP" the other "DOWN"

you want both switches normally open so the solenoids are de-energized except when you want them open.
