I've never cared much for full width, but what exactly didn't you like?
well with the half doors on i catch all the mud and rocks ,but besides that you just dont fit down all the trails ,its harder to keep the tires covered and a few other little things :D
with the E/B axles i fit down all the trails, tires stay covered ,fits on the trailer and the local law doesn't harrass me :D

Quick with the reply there homey. I'm always here, just picky about what I want to share my wealthy plethera of knowledge with.....:flipoff2:
I start ripping my 44 apart this weekend, gonna order some new coils(5.5) bushings...etc...etc...
Thinking about keeping the 8.8 and upgrading to a 31 spline outfit...not sure yet. Need to find a 9", but I am in no hurry:rasta:
later, Pirelli...:flipoff2:
just narrow one down :flipoff:
ive narrowed my own D44 and 9 inch
all you need is grinder chopsaw big hammer and welder and make sure its all straight ;)
the D44 you narrow the passenger side took off 6 inchs
the 9 inch you narrow the drivers side took off 4 inchs
they should end up 60 inchs WMS to WMS
so all you need is one custom shaft for each:D

Well I was going to do that, but I found a 44 from a 75 that came with all the steering shit, the radius arms, and the trac bar for $175!!!! So I have the disc brake shit from the 78 to put on that one. Gonna run 4:88's more than likely.
Plus, the guy that was going to narrow that 78 backed out like a nun in a wet t-shirt contest, I was pissed. Still need a trac bar mount....:flipoff2: :D
