Who's rig is this? The back said 4Wheeler Supply and I thought that was Randy Ellis' shop but he is sporting the IFS buggy.

Looks like EVERYONE got narrowed up over the winter. I am interested to see if that results in less rollovers. I thought that Walker Evans was building a new truck with a V8 too.

It looks like that battery would melt being that close to the exhaust. Is it not as hot because of that coating?

Just got back from the tech inspection, one other thing I noticed about the rigs now is they are shorter, lots lower COG, tucked up good underneath, big tires and no body int he way. I predict a lot less rolls. BTW, looked for you, Fat Bastard, you musta been in the bar or something. Jaffer went looking for you too, don't know if he found you!:smokin:

Don't know if it was his idea, but the rig belongs to Jeff Baucom, the "Educated Redneck".

The picture is of the rear suspension on Mitch Gunthrie's Cruiser, which was built by All-Pro.

If you think that purple thing is bad, look at the departure angle and suspension clearance on this rig. No wonder it is for sale!

Well, the departure angle looks easy to fix. Just hack off the

It's a bone stock Mog axle. Doesn't look much like a Toy axle - at least- not if you've spent a couple hours a day rebuilding a toy axle for the past week or so. :p

It makes more sense as a dune runner, I was just confused because it was mixed in with all of the pictures of the RCAA rigs. My suspension comment stems from how low the radius arms appear to hang down, but once again that is probably not a big deal in the sand. I -thought- that I saw a picture directly from the side of that buggy but I can't seem to find it now.

Why?

My guess is that with a spring getting longer as it is compressed this allows for it whilst keeping the rig a couple of inches lower to the ground thus keeping the centre of gravity lower for better stability

I would say vacuum formed as well cause Lexan doesn't like to be cold bent past 90 deg. Makes it really brittle and will break with little force on it.
