i recently aquired a truck from a buddy who left the state, it is a '68 shortbed on a '76 full ton running gear with a 6in susp lift, it has substancial front end body damage(needs a new grill, passenger side quarter, hood, bumper and headlight). Im gutting the engine, tranny and transfer for a landcruiser, and would like to know what a reasonable price for the remaining goods would be? Any help would be nice. thanks.

Well I'd say $50.00 you can send it overnight to me @ .....
Just kidding.....If it's really '76 1-ToN running gear that means it's moret than likely a D60 in front and 14bolt rear, that combo usually goes for about $800-$1,500 depending on it's condition. With the 6" suspension lift, it might add a couple hundred to the total value, but with the advent of the CTM D44 U-joints, I think the price (because of the demand) of D60 will drop so You'd better sell it soon.
yep 14 bolt, and a dana 60 leading the way. Frames nice and straight too. rides like a lumberwagon. Thank you for the insight. Anyone in AK need one? I got one.

Chevy started making 1 ton trucks w/ D60's in them in 1977. If it really has 76 axles under it it would be a D44.
