Can anyone educate me about a Body Control Module? (99 DII). Can a bad BCM cause cause voltage issues to the backlighting on the dash (it flickers) and voltage drops when using the turnsignals/ac/brakes? Battery is fine, alternator is fine. Thanks!

its not the bcm, i will bet you a paycheck it is really the alternator. more specifically the voltage regulator in the alternator. which can be replaced fairly easily for about $40.
had the alternator checked on the vehicle?.....so did i. same EXACT problem. i went through everything else then finally back to the alternator. it will keep on like this for days or months, then bam your battery will start dying.

I don't think that's it (but won't bet a paycheck). I just put a new alternator in (reman) and am having the exact same problem as I did with the old alternator.

Sounds like bad ground to me. Or chafed cables. I don't think your truck would start at all with a bad BeCM.
