.........have the wiring correct ( i think ! )
.......
I'd check that. I like to be SURE.
Do you mean the harness wiring or the firing order (cap/rotor/wires)?

If you havn't started it yet, the distributor might be 180 off, pull it out and turn it 180 and put it back in. Also, make sure your coolant temp sensor is plugged in all the way, or it won't start.

You have fuel, spark, and correct timing but it wont run.... Hmmm.....
Better re-check all that. :flipoff2:

.............correct timing ...............
Honestly, that's my best guess. (unless the spark is too weak)

Check the Ignition Control Module in the Distributor. They can short sometimes

Double check that you have 12V to ignition coil and computer during key ignition "on" and "start" positions.
Make sure you have good grounds for the computer and motor-to-frame

I had that same problem twice, the first time I didnt have wiring harness plugged in correctly. The second time, I had a bad electronic spark control (the electronic componant above the left valve cover). hope it helps! -Brian-
