V6, 5 spd, SRT: air, cruise, ps, pb, pdl, pw, sunrf (all work); 167K miles; white paint

THE GOOD: 4.56 diff gears, Marlin 4.71 t-case gear (installed by Marlin, himself), locked rear, posi front, steel bar side rock bars, TJM front bumper, steel rear bumper, 1” body lift, 25-mm TRD torsion bars, 3” lift rear Downey coil kit, Rancho adjust shocks (need replacement soon), DOA head work and big throttle body, Downey CA-legal headers, K&N, and elec. fan.
Oct. 2004: replaced cat (to pass smog), front brake rotors and pads, and radiator.

THE BAD: crack in windshield in lower middle area; back-up lights and plate lamp don’t work (fried wires); headlights need re-alignment after rock-induced bumper pressure; some minor oil leakage (valve cover gasket? and drippy hydraulic clutch line); and for the past 80K miles or so, the oil consumption is maybe 350 miles to a quart in town with 400-600 on the open road (DOA says it is Toyota’s really hard rings)

THE UGLY: some rock rash on rear quarter panels and right front fender above bumper, but not huge; some interior wear but no rips; mismatched tires and rims ( very good 31-10.5’s now but I did put on 33-10.5’s for off-road work). Paint is not bright but could be with a good rub-out.

COMMENTS: It is off-road worthy, having done the Rubicon twice (source of most dents) and I use it as a daily driver. I have gotten up to 20mpg on the open road, but loaded down at 70mph, it gets just over 16mpg. Reasonable pep and it did pass smog last October. It may sit a bit high for soccer-mom use.
