im looking into the winch options for my 77f250, and im planning on a warn 15000, but im not sure what i need to mount it to my truck... im planning on ditching the stock bumber and bull guard, and having one made by a local welder..... but how if yours mounted ??? anyone got pics???

if you are having a local welder make your bumper then just measure out the space you need for your winch and have him super beef up the area of the winch. I have a 9500K MM that went into a warn classic bumper. Still need to get it mounted though.

those warn classics are far from beefed up.

Here's a pic of mine. It's 10 or 12" channel. It's very stout and I have hit several things (rocks, trees, dirt) with it and it's never bent at all.

I just got through making some d-ring mounts out of 1"x2.5" steel. They are welded to the bumper and bolted to the frame. This helps to reinforce the top of the bumper some also.
