i am nearing completion on this swap. the only thing i had to really fab was the motor mounts. used a turbo 350 tranny with transfer from s-10 blazer.......cheaper to bolt to tranny. same as jeep transfer. custom motor mounts have made it possible to use driveshafts from an xj with 4.0 originally. my xj was a 2.5. engine fits with plenty of room. exhaust isn't done yet but should prove to be very tight.any questions email me.

assholes.
I did about the same in mine, troy. Didn't fab my own mounts, though, cause I was a puss about the angle the engine sits. A guy on post used to work in a pit crew and started bitching me out about the degree the oil pan is at, fuel flow, blah blah blah.
Check the exhaust manifolds on the small block. If it looks like the exhaust will hit the firewall when you finally run it, then grab the "ram-horn" manifolds off of something like a camaro. Wish somebody would make headers for these damned things.....
By the way, shrug off the loser replies. They're jealous, and they spend way too much time on the internet, instead of in the garage.

Yeah, also, I put up a post about the SBC in my XJ, and the moderator decided to throw it out. These folks pride themselves on being "hardcore", but they remind me of high school kids.
Kind of like this guy:

He calls himself "hardcore". Right.....

He never said he got a turbo 350 from an S10. He said he used a "transfer" from an S10 because it was cheaper than adapting the Jeep case.

So quick to blame....:shaking:
