: Banjo bolt

Ok I searched - and all indications are that this question is probably annoying. I'll try to make it less so. :D

I have Chevy calipers on my 5 lug D44 and need to replace them. Went and got new (reman) calipers for a '79 Blazer, 4wd, 350, etc...

The "new" calipers have a 10x1.5mm banjo bolt hole. The old ones are 7/16x20. Since I don't want to replace the SS brake lines, I need to find calipers that are 7/16.

Question: does anyone know the year/model for that spec? The store manager at the local Kragen looked at me like I'm nuts. Told me just to replace the banjo bolt and the lines would tighten enough...

Thanks!
Paul

AFAIK the cuttoff year was 77. Get some from an older truck.

71 was the first year for disc brakes and are the same (at lease mine were)

Just picked up a set from Kragen's for a '77. They are 7/16-20.

Thanks again!

uuuuuhhhhhhh it fits fine. they sell the same lines for 1/2-1t for 73-92.
my 77 had a sae d44 and i swapped in a metric d60 with the 10mm, no problems.
