Am I the only one that is confused by the whole "I thought I put 125" ? If he's claiming it's a typo, that's a rather hard typo to make, considering :

1) 2, 5, and 0 are each fairly far apart. You can hit a 9 and mean 0, but not 2.

2) 125 and 100 are seperate by the last 2 digits. 2 and 5 are seperate numbers, so he wouldn't have hit 0 twice, he would have hit some other number

3) 100 is a round, common number for a sale price.

If I was in Mike's situation, I would be waiting patiently for the check. Then, I would file a charge with the USPS about a mail fraud and persue it. This is a clear problem that Charlie has and it won't stop unless he is buried deep enough that his parents make him face the music. This just may be that situation. If he gets attempted theft, mail fraud, and well tack anything else on the list on there, his lawyer would likely be very willing to enter a plea in order to not have to f*** around in court for a few weeks with a government lawyer. No doubt people have been burned, but most of the time, when somebody gets burned, the perpetrator quietly leaves the board and you never hear from them again. In this case, the perpetrator came back and taunted not only the person he burned but, the people associated with the person that he burned. I think what makes this really bad is that he admitted to lying about stuff, and has maintained his snide attitude towards people on the board. He just can’t come clean and apologize for his snide attitude and ask for a little patience. One thing that would have really helped him would be to do everything possible to clear his name, such as scanning a receipt of the Post Office and putting that up as evidence that he sent the money. The fact that he has displayed this type of attitude on other boards shows a pattern. This type of pattern with people will no doubt get him in trouble later in life… if he lives that long.

I sent Charles a check for $115 ($100+shipping) for gears he said were new never used.
He cashed it then said the add was for $125 +shipping.
I told him, I could get new ones online for $140, so either send me the gears as promised or my money back.
He did neither, and whined & whined.
After getting ripped on, he sent the gears.
This after I told him repeatedly to just send the money because he lied about them being new.
I refused the gears, he claims to have mailed the money Monday morning.
It's now Thursday, & still no money.

The detectives are interviewing the kid’s friends. Well, friend anyhow. They had a hard locating more than one. The friend is trying to be helpful but doesn’t have much add other than Charlie, er um let’s call him Wendel, did spend a lot of time on internet forums.

Next scene:
The detectives are discussing the case with their boss. “Did the kid have any enemies? Did he do anything to make anyone angry with him?” The boss asks. The younger detective looks at his list of notes, “Well, so far we’ve found that he frequented some 10 to 15 different internet forums. We’ve got somewhere between 800 and 1500 people who made threats against Wendel for acting like a prick. Some threats locally, most from across the country. Some threats from other countries. Most replies were from some group of Pirates with trucks, or something like that. There were also a bunch of threats from some some group called Manboylove. I’ll have to dig into that one further but I don’t think it’s the Pirate truckers group.”

“Pirate truckers? International threats? My god, what have we stumbled on to? Call the FBI! It sounds like we’ve got some sort of international smuggling, trafficing operation here. Maybe the murder was a mob hit to silence a witness. And find out more about the Manboy thing, that sounds interesting.

Break to commercial. This one starts with a Jeep driving around under water. Good thing it has the “Don’t try this at home” disclamer. The next commerical features some high end German sport sedan with antilock breaks, sliding sideways on wet pavement, with all four wheels locked up, in slow motion.

Next scene in the show:
The room is filled with detectives and FBI agents, maybe 30 or 40 of them. “So, where we at in the interviews?” “Well, I’ve got 25 detectives tracking down and interviewing as many of the Pirate truckers as we can find. So far no leads. Either they are really good at hiding whatever it is they are smuggling, or they’re just a bunch of gearheads talking trucks on the internet.”

“No, I can’t be that simple. Why would anyone put that much effort into discussing trucks? There must be a mastermind organizing the conspiracy. The network is to too vast. I think we need to authorize a grand jury investigation……
