Rob,
The hubs your only concern??? How about plates do away with the hubs? Turning will suck alittle, but with your money you could put in a ARB or an OX!

If all else fails, I'm sure that a good machine shop could take one of your hubs and set up a wire to burn slugs. I'd guess they'd be ~$100 ea. for the first couple, but if you could identify other customers the price should go down. I'm guessing on the price; haven't had to pay for wire and setup time lately.

Thats the easiest way with your bolt pattern. Just get an ARB and you are done. Or carry spares.

You do have to caluclate in the H8 factor.

He uses the gas pedal as an on/off switch with 300hp on tap. That with a manual tranny, 4.3 Atlas and 38's is not a good combo. If you dont have that same style then dont worry about it and carry spare hubs.

Warn outers won't fit into stock TJ hubs.

Next suggestion.

Get a set of spyder gears and machine them into slugs.

that is why i said "STOCK" outers. yes they are not warns but they have no locking hub either.

Are your hubs the external kind with the 6 bolts, or the internal kind with no exposed bolts like a Waggy? Chebby put 'em on the 3/4 ton external style from the factory.

Ok, my bad, since the topic was HUBS not shafts, I thought you were suggesting stock TJ hubs with the alloy shafts.

stock TJ outer shafts make no sense at all since most likely they would be the weak link and are spendy to replace. kinda defeats the purpose of the CTMs yes?

I picked up a '78 F-250 drivetrain from a truck that burned down. The 44 in front has the bigger of the two 8-lug outers available, and the dual piston brakes. One of the locking hubs melted in the fire. I don't need to be able to unlock it for what I'm puttin' the axle in. Where can I get slugs that will work on this application? I can only assume that they'd cost a lot less than locking hubs (which I don't need or want) and are stronger.

So, who sells them? Or am I stuck looking at Parking Lot Auto Supply? (j/k) :D
