I am hoping someone might ahve a better idea than myself. I have a 95 k1500 GMC and staring yesterday the brakes are stuck. If i let the truck sit for a couple of hours they break free but then lock up again once they get hot. What do you think?? I was told to replace the brake hoses but want some more opinions.
Thanks

My truck did that once right after my disk brake conversion, because I took the spring out of the combination valve to disable it. The other parts in the valve eventually wandered over and caused it. After I gutted the combo valve, no more problem. So, there might be crap in your combination valve, or it may be broken. I guess a crimped brake line could possibly do it too.

I had this problem on my wifes 98 Blazer. I replaced the calipers, problem solved. The new calipers were 45.00 each, and the core charge was 50.00 each.

I would start by pulling the wheels off and cleaning all of the brake dust out of the front and rear brakes. Lube any moving parts and once everything is clean and lubed it should work fine provided the combo valve and brake lines are ok.

first things first, did you check the brake light switch?
if not pull up on it with your toe, if it clicks a bit the switch may have been holding down the pedal and not letting the fluid expand, I've seen it a bunch of times so check it out.

next time they wont release, pull the vaccuum hose and check valve outa the booster and see if they release. I had that problem once before. could drive 10 miles or so, then had to get under the hood release the built up vaccuum and away we'd go for another ten.

I had that happen and it turned out to be the hoses.. They would swell up when you applied the brakes and would hold the pressure until the slowly released the fluid.. I replaced them and never had a problem since..
