I have looked at a bunch of wiring diagrams for a 91 chevy TBI 350 and none of them match the colors on my alternator plug. (1) wire Pink with a black stripe and (1) wire solid black. Witch one goes to 12V? Pink w/blk stripe? Black goes where?
Thanks for any help.

I have a master `91 GMC wiring book in front of me and I don't find the connector your discribing. if you have the plug that clips in the side of the generator that has a single brown wire then thats all there is. the large 10-12 gauge red wire goes on the pole in the rear of the generator. if you have black wire follow it, its most likely a ground that goes near by.

in my book it shows pink/blk goes to the keyed ignition 10 amp (circut 439)

black wires are ground not brown! please don't mix them up. if I am thinking correctly the brown wire is the tickle wire for the alt. it triggers the regulator to run, but it need to be run through a bulb to ground. its like fusing the circut , plus it gives you a light to go by.
