Any one know what the part # is for the d44 nut that you need to remove the axle/spindle all that crap? If not crap on then maybe another?

JC Whitney (http://www.jcwhitney.com) sells them, can't find them in the on-line catalog but if you call they should be able to find the part. It's a spindle nut socket for IH and Jeep vehicles.

You might try walking into NAPA and asking for one..

What size is it? 2 1/16" or something sticks in my head..

I'm also told the Chevy spanner-socket works on the Scout nuts, too. You just "grab" the hex nut with the spanner tabs.

I'd already bought both the SII socket and the Chevy socket long before I heard of this..
