Well I've been working a bit on the Scout. Installed some Currie joints for my front shackle hangers and moved the shackle hangers back about 2 inches. I also found a broken spring in the right rear pack. Its the third leaf. With these longer shackles up front I'm a little taller than the rear. I'm gonna pull the third leaf out of both sides in the rear and put an adda leaf in to make up for the loss of height. I'm also finally going to build my rear shock hoops. Any Ideas on moving my rear axle forward 2 inches with building new mounts. If I flip the springs it moves 4 inches forward and is too far. How about mounting the springs under the frame? Too tippy. I bought some 4.56s off ebay but the guy won't return my calls or emails. THey are for my Dana 70 so I can match the 60 up front. I hope I'm not getting hosed. Anyone near Silom Springs Arkansas. Here is a pic of the new shackles and mount. I tested it on the road and took some of my castor out. I should be down to about 6 Degrees now.

Yea my buddy built the shackles for me. He got a little over zealous on the length. I'm gonna cut them down to 5 inches instead of 9. Drives great though.

9 inches? With no center support? Man that's a lot of stress!

Yea not exactly what I had in mind. I have some with center supports but he didn't use them he made these instead. He said mine seemed a little wide. They are made for 2.5 springs but there was a little play. I'll probably just take them off and put mine on. I hate the look with long shackles.
