Has anyone used the AA Ranger overdrive in an FJ40? I've got a stock '74, F engine, everything disassembled, that I'm picking up next week and was wondering about the utility of the overdrive. I'm just hoping to find ways to up the comfort level for the engine at freeway speeds and also trying save a little fuel too.
Oh, in case it's not obvious, I'm a total newbie to LC's. I've rebuilt a '67 Bronco from the frame up about ten years back but this is my first LC.

Ummmmm...wrong forum, but I've got a Ranger OD in my Land *ROVER*. :flipoff2:

It's noisy, loud, makes a lot of noise and is quite loud. Oh, did I mention it was LOUD!

If you have another option I'd strongly consider it.

Although it works well, it's LOUD and expen$ive. :D

Uh, oops. Man, I gotta check the prescription for my glasses? On the other hand, I had a '95 D90 once. Less than 1,000 mi. the trans broke. Less than 3,000 mi. it began to leak oil.
I loved it. Best 4x4 right out of the box I've ever driven.
