I have a 2002 chevy duramax crew cab. I have been burning through tires. What tires do you guys suggest for this vehicle that will get 50,000+ miles and have somewhat of a decently aggressive tread?

yah... good luck finding ann aggressive tire that gets 50,000 miles out of it under a heavy ass truck like that.:shaking:

no...no I think you best bet would be the x-terrains or the new procomp at things (i cant remember there name)

BFG AT or MT. I got 55k out of my bfg muds.

But that was rare, and they were too hard after 40k. I went through tires ever 25k after that set (it was all highway on the bfg's (commuting 100 miles a day))

I've got about 10K on a set of Procomp ATs, very little wear. I just had to replace one of them, as some woman in a minivan cut the sidewall with her bumper, and the old ones have almost new tread (3/32 of wear).

This is on my Cummins, that ate a set of Durango ATs in 15K.

Michelin XPS traction - Last almost forever and get decent grip in mud, but they're *expensive* and only come in high profile sizes. Search "commercial traction" in google.

I have no idea about 50K miles. A guy I work with is on his second year with Dunlop Mud Rovers and they still look new. He is 100% pleased with them.

Had some Coopers that went fast. Now I'm on some BFG ATs, so far they are blowing the Coopers out of the water. They don't seem to have lost much tread with probably 10000 on them.

I got 75k out of the first set of BFG A/T's under my 8200lb F250. Still had 5/32 tread left. The new set looks like it will last just as long. 110k on the truck.

I have no experience with them yet but the Toyo M/T is supposed to be a long wearing tire and great traction.I plan to run a set on my D-Max in the future. My dad has been getting 40K+ out of all the tires he's run on his D-Max.{ OEM ones,Mastercraft A/T,and now Toyo A/T's}. I sure can't get that though.

45acp would be one of the guys to ask about Cooper, MasterCraft, etc. I think he builds tires for them and is privy to wear info in general.

I ran Les Schwab RVT's on my truck. Front tires got 50,000 miles, but the rear ones got 100-110,000 miles before the tread started getting borderline not legal.

I don't rotate front/rear.

I've still got three factory original General's on my 176" WB Diesel CC dually PSD. It's all about driving style.

Only reason I ever had to replace any tires was because of the canyon road I take to school. For some reason throwing a 8000+ pound truck into a 15 mph curve while going 25 wears out the outside edge a bit. That and a bad tire.
