I didnt get much done this weekend... Attended the company picnic out side of Flagstaff, good eats, and good times. Got back around 8:30 last night and toyed around with the on board air, then remembered I dont have any wire, so I drank beer.

Today was a lazy day, worked on re-texturing the patio ceiling off and on today, and hung out here.

Went to the race track on Sat. to watch the Busch Series race. Sun. I watched some tube and then pulled the hydroboost off my Scout so I can package it up and send it to Vanco to have it hi-flowed. While I had the system open, I pulled the fitting out of the back of the PS pump to do the pressure/flow mods to it. Then I laid under the truck with my Rock Logic ram trying to figure out where and how I want to mount it.

Interestingly, my PS pump (which is the stock pump off my 1980) had a orfice diameter of 9/64". Matt at West Texas Offroad recommends increasing the orifice by 1/16" to 1/8", but not to excede 5/32". So I only increased the orifice 1/64" to 5/32". My high pressure bypass valve in the flow piston had three shims in it. I removed all three shims and put it all back together. For whatever reason, it seems this pump was set up from the factory as a high flow/low pressure pump.

Went to the lake and did some yard work... had to move the rocks along the shore so we could pull up the sod and smooth out the dirt. Ice pushes the rocks and makes the dirt hump up, Dad wanted it smoothed out.
Sunday I went to my cousin's 11th birthday party, then went to the paintball field my brother "works" at. He doesn't get paid money, but he gets to play for free and now has keys to the building. I don't think I'll be doing any wrenching for awhile unless it's pulling the motor out of my brother's Subaru to check the timing belts and stuff.

I e-mailed D & C to see if he wants any of my money for another off the wall project. I'm hoping to get one of these Scouts built into an off-roader's dream. We'll see, waiting for a reply.

I worked on installing a new wiring harness on my Scout 800. So far I have everything wired except for the turn signals. I upgraded to LED tail lights while I was at it. I got the kit for $79 off Ebay, I should have gotten a more complete (and expensive) kit.

I did the led upgrade about 2 months ago on the SII using trucklight leds. Cost me $40.00

I did more wiring :shaking: ~ ordered a bunch of stuff from DelCity (high-amp quck connects, a couple of those relay thingys, LED lights, and some other crap). Bought some "military battery terminals" from PremierPowerWelders ~ those should make hooking up the battery pretty easy, then I just read through Rusty's build on my site ~ see where I am on the official build and make upcoming plans.

I got an email back from Klune-V ~ they are interested in helping out with Rusty, just not sure what that means ~ If I x-nay the doubler and go with Klune, I'l end up at 169 instead of 125

Led should be coming back from Moab today, and I'm hoping that he'll be off tomorrow to help finish up Rusty's wiring and possibly see if it starts up  I'll be honest, I'm a touch freaked out....half excited, half worried that my wiring is going to :nuke:. I've never liked wiring, in fact, I hate it. We'll see.

CopperCowboy, I got your email, I'll reply tomorrow. Today's my day-o-rest. :D :D

Blah. ANother heep lift on nates rig. 37's and a 8'' rubicon express lift on a stock 97wrangler. Then got well lubed well into the next morning. Awoke to feeling fine. Vomiting came later. Sat around and recovered today, sat in the grage and stared at the scout for an hour or two.

I pushed back the bead and cleaned out the rock shavings from my front passenger tire. Hopefully it will hold now...Gotta keep the landlord happy.

Charged the battery since I hadn't tried to start it for almost a month or more...

Drove it around the block to re scuff the tires and blow off the cob webs...

Took my boyz for Sunday and celebrated Diego's 8th Birthday.

Drank lots of wine by myself...

What kind of LED lights? I used the four inch round ones on semi trucks, with the rubber grommet. Fits a little tight, but very bright.

I left Thursday night for deer hunting. I didn't have tags this year, so I went along as an extra set of eyes and hands around camp. We had a great time and saw 60+ animals. Unfortunatly nothing had antlers, so we came home empty handed. All in all it was a great time!

I attempted a run in Big Bear and blew my last set of rear locking hubs. I was pissed at myself for not having a spare set of drive flanges...i knew i would be needing them.
I dont know what to think of warns business decision to send me out a new set (once a month) of rear locking hubs under the lifetime warrantee, instead of giving me a deal on some drive flanges...???

Sorry for my fucked up post. The wiring harness was $79 off ebay, the lights were from WayTec for $30 each. The harness is from a new outfit from Spokane Wa.

I had the daughter this set of days off. Had a great time with her. Didn't any wheeling or wrenching this last weekend. I do have some plans to hit some trails this coming weekend. Heres some pics from Sound Mountain two weekends ago though. Last pic is my daughter and I:D
