: Would divorced dual toy cases be too long?

OK, in my quest for the best gearing solution for my sammi, I have come to the realization that running toy cases would be sweet, since I'm putting toy axles in it for sure. Just wondering if the dual divorced toy t-cases would be too long for a somewhat stock sammi wheelbase.

Anyone running this setup in a non-stretched wheelbase zuk?

Good question, but the married dual setup that I have is barely longer than stock. It wouls eem like if you made the intermediate shaft real short it could be close. The Klune is a dual divorce setup and it is the same length as stock, but I dont know how the size of the two (toy versus Klune) compare. Anyone at OTT know?

Well, by the time I get the money together to do mine 10 other people will have had it done :p but I'm doing a 20R SM465 and dual cases. Have all the parts just need the adapters and 1 set of 4.7s .... but everything will be mated, so I guess that doesnt help ya

Just how much longer than stock is your dual t-case setup?

This setup really interests me because I would already have all the parts I need to biuld a nice suzuki (toy axles, dual cases, etc). All I would have to do is strip my toy down for parts when it dies :D

scwafish, could you tell me what is the length of everything, from the front of the fan to the rear t-case out put flange?

Thanks

Doug-the motor is a zuk motor as is the bellhousing...so all of that is in the stock location. The whole setup is about 1.5 inches longer than stock. The real tricky part is that the output is quite a bit higher. I have a long zuk so the angle is fine, with a short zuk it would probably work better with a toy hipion in the rear.

I'm hoping to be around the same at the max, right now I have an approx length of 70-73" from engine fan to rear x-fer output. I have to measure what stock is in the morning, unless by chance anyone might know :D

dangerber, I took a measurement of my toy cases, and looking at the divorced adapter on OTT's Site, it looks like it would probably be approx 24-25" from transfer input to rear output for dual cases.

About 5" for the divorced adapter, 6.5 for a dual case adapter and reduction box, and 12.5 for the 2nd reduction box and transfer.

Depending what you did for a shaft from the tranny to the t-case input, it might actually be able to be moved up a couple inches.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if I could use more of a spacer-adapter, rather than an intermediate shaft between the trans and t-case, that may save me 3-4" or maybe more.
