I would appreciate information on installing a
68 Travelall 1200C 4X4 body on a
93 suburban ¾ ton, 4X4 frame and drive train.

The wheel base length is different which could be adjusted. Are there any major physical conflicts that would prevent this swap?

I want the stock look of a Travelall and the road performance of a late model suburban.

Has any one done this or other similar swaps?

Thank you

Is the burban IFS front? A SAS might be in order. What do you want ti for. Towrig? Family-trail-explorer type thing?

Is it just an idea or are you going to make it happen?

Anything is possible First I would measure everything and see if Travelall body is even a close match to burbn frame (body width wise). If it looks like it will fit then I would set the body on the frame with the motor and trans installed to see how it fits. Than just make mody mounts to fit the body to the frame and remove the ones you don't need. I think you would have to shorten the burbn' frame some to make itfit I think. The 93's are IFS which is not bad for ride but I would not run anything bigger than 35's they tend to break ball joints as well with big tires! As for the engine just use the stock chevy stuff and make a custom harness for the dash of the travelall. Just some ideas but sounds like it would be sweet if pulled off!
