OK guys here's the deal as I see it and how things are going to work. It may be named something different now, yet the new forum is going to be general Jeep tech, including newbie. So everything that's not "hardcore" belongs in the std. Jeep tech forum.

What's "hardcore"?

Things like fabbing 4 link suspensions, Jeepish buggy's, Big tires, big axles, fabbing trans adapters, fabbing hardcore parts. a common theme is fabbing.

What is non hardcore?

Lift kits, typical springovers, bolt ons, drivability, identification, and countless other things.

This often suggested change has been a long time in coming.
Glad to see it.
Thanks, Steve!

Glad to see this new forum has arrived. Much more user friendly than specific Jeep forums dedicated to certian models of Jeeps. :)

There should be a script in the forum that automatically moves a thread to newbie jeep if something like ten users click on it.

I have a 1965 jeep j pickup it came with a tornado 6 cylinder I bought a 66 wagoner with a amc 327 vigilante and put it in my pick with the three speed tran that was on it years later my son bought a 67 wagoner with a 327 like mine but his had a automatic trans then he bought a 71 and lost interest in the older one so I took out the tran thinking I would like to put it in my 65 some day well day is here but after taking out the standered trans Im finding out there must have been a spacer on the end of the other engine because when I tried to put the flywheel on my 65 it hits to block I have everything else to make the change has anyone heard of this of know where I might get that spacer

yes the adapter is fairly common in OEM form thru many different Jeep wrecking yards. It is about 2" thick made of cast steel. Just start callin junk yards or searchin the net.

I am installing my AGR this week. I finally got back home and have a little time off from touring, so I figure now would be a good time.
Anyone here ever install one, and have some quick tips for me?
ThanX,
Bill

quiestion tho, why is it just jeep hardcore. there is plenty of good information that can be applied to any "XhardcoreX" build. i mean basically when you get your rig to a certain point there is less jeep and probably more ford chevy and other stuff in it anyways.

Question, this is a new forum right? We already have three questions above that don't apply, not only that but this a informational post of what to expect and so on.

I like the idea, I think it'll put a lot of good tech, ideas, and innovation out there of what works and not of what doesn't.

You left out assholes with filthy language that do nothing more than sit on their fat asses and flame others who have the balls to try something. IndyCJ is a pussy that gets off trashing people when he doesn't know shit about anything. This thread is a waste of bandwidth.
