I am trying to set the front pinion angle on a soa cj. I pressume if I dont have a cv front I cant have much of a angle correct ?

If I do get a cv front what angle would Ibe good for that? I am waiting to find this out before I weld the Knuckles with the proper caster back on.

No one can tell you what angles you need. It's the same as the rear.

Non CV - mathch the angle on the t/c

CV - piont it @ the t/c

It's not critical if you're not going to run it @ high speed.
