Well, I need to do something about my front driveshaft. The angle is too much for it and it knocks in 4wd. It is a 2001 with the disconnect so it doesn't always spin. I called High Angle and even though Jess is awesome about sevice, quality, and everything else...I want to see if there is a less expensive alternative to a 700+ dollar driveshaft setup. I just can't afford that or justify it for how much I actually need to put this truck in 4wd. It's lifted 7.5". I know about the clocking ring but don't know if I wanna do that. I figure that I'd have to mess with my crossmember, shifter, and who knows what else.
I'll do it if I just have to I guess but I figured I;d ask here if anyone had any suggestions or other solutions.
Thanks

BTW...please don't waste your time telling me to lower it back down, I Love the ride height :D

Can you clearance it with a die grinder for more angle? That costs $0 if it will work.

Not sure. gotta check into that actually. Good suggestion though, can't believe I forgot about that as an option!
Thanks!

Cut and turn the axle. Not fun, but basically free.

FWIW, mine knocks lightly in 4wd too, with only a 2 1/2" coil spacer. I do have the axle rotated back a little further, for more caster than the factory calls for. Even stock, the driveshaft angle on mine was not correct, the pinion angle was far from the zero degrees it should have been.

I got a Tom Woods front shaft. Paid 400 shipped to my door with a new yoke. I believe you can get basic CV shaft from them for 270.
