yes,
Te fronts are the same 17 spline 10bolts up to 2001 or 2002....check your spline count and go for it.

Maybe. '88 was still one of the transition years between use of the front 8 bolt and front 10 bolt, so a Trooper of that vintage could have either axle. Obviously only the 10 bolt hubs would be of use to you. So, before you buy anything I would definitely suggest doing as Bansil said and checking that they are 17 spline units.

wrong.
88+ will work no issues.

wrong.
maybe... with all of the 'use a part until it runs out' that Isuzu is known for, I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of an '88 with a front 8 bolt. Probable? Hardly. Possible? Possibly... so it does not hurt for him to check before buying.:p

I have an 88 trooper that we bought new. I was built in Nov. of 87. Could i possibly have an 8bolt front instead of a 10bolt. It is an 88 because it has the 2.6 and we originaly bought it in may of 88. thanks.

Count the splines on the end of the axle: 17 splines = front 10 bolt.
