Gentlemen (and Ladies):
Mine is a 94 GraChee V-8 all wheel drive. @ 155k miles the front ring gear bolts began shearing off one by one over a 3 weeks period. Caught it before the last couple went. No damage to the gears. BTW gear oil @ proper level.
Replaced bearings, properly torqued the new Dealer bolts and went on. Approx one year later, the process began again. My friend @ dismantler yard says its common and they sell the crap out of the fronts @ $$$. Must be something other than the bolts. Its an everyday driver, around town. I love the truck, its paid for. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
