Found a rear axle from a '97(FF, disks, but no locker) that I think would be a nice upgrade to the '92, but am not sure if they're compatable. Anybody know for sure? Thanks.

It's a 4.10 ratio and I don't know what the stock '92 has. If the ratios match, I still don't think it's worth the upgrade cost as it won't change the vehicle feel or capability in any way. Yes, the FF axle can take more abuse, but again I don't think this is worth doing unless you're asking something out of your SF axle that it cannot handle. If it had a locker, that would be different.
