The Jerk 03-16-2002, 05:17 PM should i run my turd on gasoline when its don here in teh next couple of weeks which means carbureted, carb on it now is sucky and i just bought a fuel cell, i havent gotten line yet.
or should i go ahead and install all teh propane stuff for it and just be done with it since it will be on a trailer most of its life now anyways. i have everything for propane minus teh tank. i can sell teh fuel cell and go from tehre. any opinions would be great! thanks, jiMMy
road1will 03-16-2002, 05:35 PM IMO the last thing i would do with a propane setup is to rush installation of it. the risk for leaks is too great for me if i rushed when assembling it. so run it on gas until you have enough time to set up the propane safely.
The Jerk 03-16-2002, 05:40 PM mr. roggy would be setting it up with me so i think it would be in good hands on that part. jiMMy
Don;'t rush the propane install. there is no need. It takes less time then one would think.
I had my junk ready to turn the key les the tank mount in about 4-5 hours, and that was making my own lines. I leak checked the whole thing with soapy water and all was good. The lines are kind of a pian but just like any other high presure line. I always use a strip of tape on the line to make sure the fitting is nor pushing the line out og the collar so you know you have full engage ment. Make sure and secure the line good!
I ran mine inside, not the "right" way but IMO it beats having it in harms way.
Getting it tuned is another story.....Mine is passable now but not where I would like it.
SMART ASS 03-16-2002, 06:16 PM if ya gots someone helpn' ya and they knows whats they doin. then i say go fo it!
