got a line on a 700 out of a 91 s-blazer. it works fine but I'm not too sure if it will work without a computer-shifting. the lockup is pretty easy so i hear. power to a wire to activate the converter??? I 'm wondering about that too. I have a d300 to go behind it and I will buy an adaptor. All help appreciated. thanks

You can get the adapter through Parts Mike. He sells Advance Adapters stuff pretty reasonable. It is still not cheap. If it's similar to the adapter for the NP231, you'll need to replace the tail shaft in the tranny. It comes in the kit, but you have to gut the tranny since it goes in from the front. The kit should be $400+

THe wiring on my '88 was: PIN A = 12V+ and PIN D = Ground. I give mine the 12 volts continuous and switch the ground for the lock up. I have a cheapy manual for the 82-86, but I popped the pan to check the wiring. You can get a manual for yours at ATSG - Automatic Transmission Service Group. THere number is 800-245-7722. HTH
