Was going to pull a 77 F250 D60 from pick n pull yesterday but they wouldnt give us the half off price... didnt feel like paying $133 for a 30 year old axle. Was it a full floater? I know it probably had 30 spline shafts though and it was an open differential.
also how do you get the damn e-brake cables off?

if it had hubs sticking out of the drums, its a full floater. True with any axle. You get the ebrake cable off with a hacksaw. J/k. You need to unscrew the nut at the piece that connects the two cables to one. Or just cut the single cable. The rest should just unbolt. The brake hose has a horse shoe lookin piece of sheetmetal holding it in place, disconnect or cut the hard line, use a pair of pliers or a screwdriver to pry on the tab it has, it will come right out. It will more than likely be a 30 spline axle, but sometimes not. Pull a shaft and check, these axles get swapped around, you might get stuck with a 16 spliner....
