Any know where you can order a see through center punch??? It is about 1.5" diameter circle with 2 holes in it. One has a removable clear lens and the other has the hardened pointy punch. You mark your metal with a scratch awl, and then put this little thing over it and get the mark under the dot on the lens... then you pull the lens and put the punch in its place and whack it with a hammer, the dent is alwas perfect...

Cant seem to find one online, anyone know what I am talking about

It's called an optical center punch. Try a google search. Here is one I found with a quick search..

Why would you need one of those? You can only use them in a big area, and for an area that big I can set a center punch on a scribe mark perfectly.

Is this for precision work and I am just a hack? What am I missing out on, $15 is not much money if this will do something I don't know about, like all the good ideas you get from having a new tool :D

No one?

Why the fancy, delicate instrument to replace the piece of pointy iron?

I think ENCO has them cheaper.
