drum to disc on a d44

on a 73 bronco front dana 44, i want to convert it from drums to disc.. i have a 76 chevy 8-lug dana 44 in the garage with a cracked center section.. can i bolt the chevy outers to the EB housing.. i havent tried yet because the bronc is at my buddys house (it's his).. i think i can do it, but i'm not sure...

yep, all d44's have the same inner c's, just swap the outers and stub shafts and you are good to go. On another note, if don't want to use mismatched rims you can try and trade for some late 70's half ton ford or scout II outers.
