I don't know how accurate these numbers are, but I suspect they are pretty close...
Hospital Emergency Room people and Doctors are the first to tell everyone how dangerous motorcycles are. The next time you hear this kind of mindless yapping, throw these stats into the conversation.
Number of physicians in the U.S. - 700,000
Accidental deaths caused per year - 98,000
Accidental deaths per Doctor - 0.14
or
One out of every 7.14 doctors caused an accidental death.
Number of motorcycles in the U.S. - 4,000,000
Accidental deaths per year - 2,000
Accidental deaths per bike - 0.0005
or
One rider was killed out of every 2,000 bikes.
Therefore, doctors are approximately 280 times more dangerous than motorcycles!

But the numbers forget....what about all the injury's??
I mean, they don't all kill, some just bust your head open, remove arms, legs, break bones, etc. Enough stuff to change your life with out killing ya.

If we were all to quit all the things that are bad for us what fun would we have. Then all the quacks would have to go back to school to fix my emotional problems not figure out why I cant raise my arm over my head anymore "seperated shoulder". So in my honest opinion they need to say thank you more often "j/k".
thats great
printed out, seems id rather stay on my bike than go to the hospital with the deadly doctors;)

I might have to show this to my parents...
Dad (doctor) and mom (nurse) wouldn't let me get a motorcycle (actually I really wanted an ATC back then...), or a skateboard because they said they were "too dangerous."
Never could afford an ATC as a kid, so I bought myself a skateboard :flipoff2: and now that I can afford them, I have dirtbikes too. :D
