can you modify this to be trail worthy?
as far as adding x bracing and a horizontal bar(side to side)
it's intention would be part of a full cage using 2" .120 tube
only the hoop would be used,not the bars going to the fenderwells.

Fully agree, drill a hole in that sucker and take a look. Then compare it to the .120. BIG difference. And for the amount of tube you'll save using the stock bar, it's not ever remotely worth it. If the main hoop of your cage is week, it's defeats the purpuse of adding on to it. :D
