--- Quotes from the Sunday Farmington Daily Times newspaper ---

Shaffer and Clifford finished with a total of six points, to bring home the win for Team Summit TruckStyle Off Road Racing.

The duo was thrilled with their victory.

"I consider this Farmington event the Daytona 500 (of rock crawling)." Clifford said. "The crowd was great, very enthusiastic."

Shaffer agreed.
"Farmington is the nastiest place and to win the first event is awesome," Shaffer said.

LOL, good one Rich! I was thinking the same thing!

What are people's impressions from being there? How did Randy Ellis' IFS buggy work? How did the Krawler T/A work compared to the MT/Rs? Who was driving the Jeep Liberty? ;)

MTR's are THE $hit around here.
The #5 Avalanche Engineering built "Liberty Buggy" was driven by John Gilleland

I unfortunately didnt get to see the IFS/IRS buggy in action. Does anyone know what place it got? From being on the A course all day Saturday there was alot of breakage. Couple axles, rear pinions sheared off, hubs, broken serpentine belt, etc. The MTR's did really well.

The time I saw him he couldnt climb a v-notch wall, he just flopped towards one side. I think he was pulled or winched up, I couldnt see that good b/c I was looking from behind the obstacle. Most other rigs with mtr's had no problems with it.

gotta hand it to the RCAA guys, this is the nuckin futtiest set of obstacles in the known universe!! we need a serious seismic disturbance back in the east and midwest so they can have some of this psycho stuff too. they have some nutty stuff back there but this RCAA stuff is amazing!!
