How do I tell if I have a close or wide ratio by the number. I been told something about ending in a 25 or 26. Mine end in a 26.

I'm tring to sell this thing and everyone keeps asking me if its wide or not.

Remove the cover and look at the first gear in the box, the one attached to the input shaft. If the gear is the same size as the syncro then it's a close, if the gear is smaller then the syncro it's a wide. Other option is to put it in first and turn input shaft, it should take 6 and 1/3 turns on the input for one turn on the output if it's a wide, 4 turns to 1 and it's a close.
