As usual, I want to try something fun and different. I have a 89 Chev 1/2 ton truck with a EFI 305. I want to try an experiment and see if I can put a 302 EFI out of an old 89 F-150 I have. I know wiring issues arn't a concern but I am sure computers, bell housing etc may be. Anyone ever tryed this project?

Love trying new inventions :)

computer and wireing is an issue.

id think youd need to atleast upgrade to a 5.0 setup along with painless wiring kit and mustang brain box

maybe do something alittle difrent but stay with the small block chevy and build a MPI 383.

I would tend to agree. I do have a nice 350 with a 4-bolt main. Top is from an 87, block is from a 74. I combined the two to work with the TBI set up. Might be easier to re-built it. The old thing works and runs nice, just she seems to not hold much oil pressure and smokes more then it should.

I could understand putting a Chevy motor in a Ford but not the other way around :shaking:

Just plan on changing motor mounts, or at least fabricating some, you will have to get an adapter to use the chevy tranny, or at least use a Ford smallblock transmission. Not to mention wiring, computer, radiator, and on and on and on.....
