well it looks like you made it to deleon!!! i have been there a couple of times and there is some cool stuff there. well with no t-case i was definatly out (i did pick up my atlas this weekend though). i see steve and his pops made it too. so what i want to know is your impressions of the 42's? how did you like wheeling them compared to the 38.5's?

As they say, bigger is not always better, but these 42's certainly make the rocks smaller.

It was a little spooky on some of the off-camber stuff, but I will get used to that feel soon enough.

I wish I had a 3.8 Atlas v. a 3.03 Atlas now, but it is not that bad.

Overall I love them....they are cool.

You should think of coming out to the US sometime for one of the big TLCA events, there's always people flying in (from Australia, Germany, UK, Mexico) and there's always plenty of people to ride with. I would recommend 'Cruise Moab because of the logistics (relatively close to several big airports, lots of accomodations available) and the sheer beauty of the place.

I'm not going to make it this year, but I'll be there in 2003. The invitation is out, if you plan it in advance I'll be glad to pick you up somewhere and you can ride in my Cruiser or play "musical Cruisers" and ride with different board members.

Nolen, yer such a poser :flipoff2: lol

Now, we just gotta find a common location to see if those 42's are REALLY better than the 38.5's! :D :D :D

Moab.....

And if he Kicks the crap outa me I am going for larger tires :D

Weight is similar, suspension is prety much the same (give or take) Both 2F
SM420 with three speed tcase Vs, SM465 with 3.03 atlas and bigger tires. Should be similar crawl ratios.

Should be fun. Anyone else in for some play time???

Last weekend of April..

Not sure Moab is the place these tires will shine, but you are correct it will be a battle of equals...

I really wanted them for Oklahoma. The rocks there scream clearance. More is better. Hell, the locals all run 44's!!

I am still a little Dawg among the Waggonner gang.

As I said before, I am not sure if the 42's are the answer, but they are mine now and I sold the 38's so there is no turning back :D
