Can't tell you guys how envious i am of all the killer events, pics etc you keep showing us. Being from the land down under we don't have as many of these kinds of events. Also being from melbourne right down under of Oz we don't have the rocks, mud we got, steep climbs we got, ruts we got, rocks nope. i went to Moab a couple of years ago (1999) and had an absolute blast, the Zuk guys were fantastic and the whole EJS was awesome.

I am currently getting Zuk ready for events down here, once i get my transfer case problem sorted so hopefully i can show some pics of our stuff but still it's not the same.

Hopefully some other Aussie wheelers will post and tell me of some killer events, tracks etc so I can go have a play

Yes, that must suck to not have as many opportunities down there. But hey, at least you have all that desert down there; you can't tell me there's no rocks there.

:usa: GOD BLESS AMERICA, the land of opportunity!!!:usa:

yes, but you all have a beautiful country and some great temps. Up here in NH, we don't have a whole ton of anything great. About all we got in spades is cold.

The proper desert that we have is like 600 miles away from the eastern cities, with it generally being located in the centre and western part of Australia.

Like the US, we too have a variety of terrain. As Grimbo said, Victoria (lower east) has plenty of hills and mud, New South Wales (lower-middle east) has plenty of rocks but they are sandstone. We don't have the slickrock of Moab, the granite of the Rubicon or the extremely sharp rocks of AZ, but there are plenty of ledges and gnarly stuff here in NSW. Queensland has a mix of things really.

We also have very different laws for each state, ie. SPOA is illegal in QLD but is legal in NSW provided that it is certified by an approved engineer.

I'm not sure about Grimbo, but I have access to some decent areas within about 20 mins from my house which tend to be mostly sandstone and some mud, but most of the competitions we have are several hours drive away.
