most winches in the 8000 lb range that are built like the ramsey 8000 lb winches have very similar dimensions. the measurement i need is not on any of the schematics i've seen online. it is the distance from the front set of holes to the front face of the winch. i need this so i can drill the holes so that when the winch is mounted, it is as close to the inside front face of the bumper as possible. also i need to know if i need to make allowances for the fairlead bolts or bolt heads. i took this measurement once before, but can't remember if it is 3/4" or 1-1/4". thanks for any help.
ps- i can't afford a winch right now to take measurements from and i have been to the 3 stores that sell them and no one has one out of the box.
